Hold up – my 4 year old gave me the impression that bathing a newborn was this lovely, warm bonding moment for a mother and her child. Finlay’s bath time was my favourite time of day, seriously.
But Hunter? Well that’s more like trying to bathe a bloody banshee.
Actually better example – you know those plants in Harry Potter that scream bloody murder when you take them out the pot, the mandrake root? Well Hunter’s a mandrake root.
He HATES bath time and now, so the hell does mummy. Because it’s not a pleasant experience for either of us. His toe literally touches the water and all hell breaks loose. I can’t understand it really, there’s nothing I love more than getting cozy in the bath – so why doesn’t my son enjoy it? God I’d love to know.
Any tips are welcome…
Tonight we successfully managed a bath in less than two minutes whilst Hunter screamed frantically the ENTIRE time. I mean come on buddy, I just want you to smell nice and be nice and clean. The cuddles after bath time are great, the feed after bath time is great – but bath time alone is horrific.
So I am no officially over enjoying baby bath times because my second born son has completely put me off of it.
Any help would be appreciated pls š¦
